			Texas State Passes Special Resolution in Honor of Renowned Kashmiri-British Journalist Muhammad Rafiq Mughal

A special resolution has been passed by the State of Texas in recognition of the journalistic services of renowned British Kashmiri journalist Muhammad Rafiq Mughal. The resolution, introduced by State Representative Ron Reynolds, pays tribute to Muhammad Rafiq Mughal for his more than two decades of journalistic services, the promotion of South Asian media internationally, and the promotion of community relations between Pakistan, the UK, and the US.

A special resolution has been passed by the State of Texas in recognition of the journalistic services of renowned British Kashmiri journalist Muhammad Rafiq Mughal. The resolution, introduced by State Representative Ron Reynolds, pays tribute to Muhammad Rafiq Mughal for his more than two decades of journalistic services, the promotion of South Asian media internationally, and the promotion of community relations between Pakistan, the UK, and the US.
	
						According to the text of the resolution, Muhammad Rafiq Mughal, who is currently the Bureau Chief of HUM News UK & Europe, is based in London and recently visited Houston to cover the 10th HUM Awards 2025. 
					
					
						During this time, he met and interviewed several prominent Pakistani artists, social and business figures, and Houston Mayor John Whitmeyer, and established deep connections with the audience during the event.
					
					
						The document further mentions that Muhammad Rafiq Mughal has made prominent reporting on politics, culture, and social issues during his career, and through his professional expertise, has established a positive identity not only in Pakistani but also in the international media. He has also served as the President of the Kashmir Electronic Media Association and the Vice President of the Pakistan Press Club London in the past.
					
				The document further mentions that Muhammad Rafiq Mughal has made prominent reporting on politics, culture, and social issues during his career, and through his professional expertise, has established a positive identity not only in Pakistani but also in the international media.
